You are super excited! You did the work, found a project that is not listed yet, made sure the project you like is legit and can't wait to get in on the ground floor and see it Moon so you can finally buy that Lambo. But what is all that talk about Pre-Sale and how do you buy those not-yet-listed tokens?
This article will cover what you will need to do if the Pre-Sale is done via DXSale.
DxSale is a well established DeFi (Decentralised Finance) launchpad. In their DApp you can create your own tokens or participate in Token Sales (IDOs).
In this article we will walk through the steps on how to particpate in your chosen IDO.
Step 1: Getting to the correct Token Sale.
If you have identified your next token investment via a chat group or a website they will most likely have published a link somewhere that you can follow to get to the correct sale (something like https://dxsale.app/app/pages/defipresale?saleID=XXXX&chain=BSC).
The above link made up of a few, easy to, identify parts:
https://dxsale.app/ - the DxSale website
app/pages/defipresale? - directs you to the dxlaunch section of the site
saleID=XXXX - this is the Dx-identifier of the token you want to buy
&chain=BSC - this identifies the token is deployed on the Binance chain
PSA: When you use the TrustWallet browser change from https to http else the site will NOT connect !
Step 2: Entering the DxSale Token Listing site
Once you click on the link the DxSale site will load and immediately produce the following disclaimer:
This is basically DxSale denying any responsibility for anything you do on their website, including putting your money in the wrong token and losing your hard earned BNB before a project is even launched. There is nothing you can do but read it carefully and then check the box and press confirm.
Step 3: BSC Mainnet
Make sure you set your wallet to the BSC Mainnet chain as you won't be able to connect to participate while your wallet is linked to any other chain.
Step 4: Token Sale Page
Once you have accepted their disclaimer, the site takes you to the token-listing page.
The top section shows you which Network you are connected to, Your wallet address and your BNB Balance:
Below that are 3 sections:
Step 4.1: What are those warnings, I thought my project was safe?
DxSale uses a very generic warning system. Most of the warnings are standard and will trigger for every Pre-Sale. Always DYOR and come ask us in the chat
if you have any questions.
Step 4.2: Token Sale Info
In the token sale info section you can again make sure this is the correct token you want to buy (check the contract address) and it will also show you the specifics of the sale:
This will show you a number of metrics (we will cover all of these in-depth in a subsequent article).
Soft Cap: minimum number of BNB that need to be raised for the sale to succeed
Hard Cap: maximum number of BNB that can be raised in this sale
Minimum Contribution: minimum amount of BNB that you as a buyer can invest
Maximum Contribution: maximum amount of BNB that you as a buyer can invest
Step 4.3: Comment section
Leave a comment so other people can see why you think this project will be a success. Might help someone decide to invest, although you should never invest on a recommendation of someone else!
Step 5: Committing your BNB and buy in the Pre-Sale
Now you are all done. Once the sale is a success and is finalised you can claim you tokens from the same site-page and they will show up in your wallet.
Good Luck! Wen Moon? Wen Lambo?
